Religious Practitioners aren’t Perfect We have many religions all over the world. Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam: the people who believe in these religions do share many similarities in their beliefs. Some attend church once a week and others go several times a week. All the people who believe in these religions have one thing in common; they all try to be and struggle with being perfect everyday of their existence. Some of the main sins committed daily that keep religious practitioners from their goals are; Jealousy, greed, and lying. The first sin that keeps all religious practitioners from being perfect is Jealousy. Jealousy is when someone else has something that you want and it makes you angry. It is stated in (Proverbs 6:34), “For Jealousy makes a man furious and he will not spare when he takes revenge. ” It also says in the Curran that “Jealousy is an attitude condemned by Allah. Allah reveals in the Curran that He created people’s inner selves as prone to Jealousy but that believers have to avoid this. It is also noted in Buddhism, by the Enlightened Master Buddha, “that Jealousy cannot be overcome either by escaping from it or hating the object of Jealousy. All you need to do is Just be fully aware when the feeling of Jealousy arises. ” The next sin that keeps all religious practitioners from perfection is greed. Greed is an excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves with respect to material wealth. It is said in (Proverbs 28:25 ESP.), “A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one ho trusts in the Lord will be enriched. It is stated in the Islam faith that “Because of their distorted value Judgments, they think the real meaning of life consists of material things like money, wealth, property, beauty, and reputation. ” The Buddhists spend all their lives trying to gain these assets whereas, in fact, as their Prophet Babushka has also advised, “the best richness is the richness of the soul”. The Enlightened Master Buddha “If a man lives a pure life nothing can destroy him; if he has conquered greed nothing can limit his freedom. The final sin that most religious practitioners encounter is lying.
Lying is the act of untruthfulness or spreading falsehoods. The Bible tells us in (Proverbs 24:28 ESP.), “Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause, and do not deceive with your lips. ” Also Islam in general, forbids lying. The Curran says, “Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies. ” (Sarah 40:28), and also in the Width, Mohammed was quoted as saying, “Be honest because honesty leads to goodness, and goodness leads to Paradise. Beware f falsehood because it leads to immorality, and immorality leads to Hell. The Buddhists also believe that you must not lie in order to reach enlightenment or Nirvana. The Enlightened Master Buddha told his followers about the five courses of speech. Speech may be “timely or untimely, true or untrue, gentle or harsh, connected with good or with harm, or spoken with a mind of loving-kindness or with in any way, speak with insincerity, promote falsehood, misrepresent information, or gossip maliciously. Do not be indifferent to the truth in any situation with any event hat arises.
Be truthful in everything you do and bring love and kindness into your environment. ” There are is no such thing as a perfect person, not even religious practitioners. Http://harmony.
