Known for both her writing and her personal life, she has attracted an enormous amount of publicity and had been honoured for her entire work. First of all, she had amazing skills for writing. To honour her many literary works, she was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 1956 New Year Honours. Most of her books and short stories have been filmed, some many times over, and many have been adapted for television, radio, video games and comics. Despite of her great success, her personal life was an amalgam of diverse problems.

However, she managed to be herself again, re-married and lived happily until her death. All in all, Agatha Christie was revered as a master of suspense, plotting, and characterisation by most of her contemporaries. It was said that nobody can write an Agatha Christie novel but the authoress herself, this proving one more time her enthralling, first-rate skill for writing.
